Getting Started

Everything you need to set up and start using HomeFlowHub.

What's in the Box

  • HomeFlowHub device with pre-installed battery
  • USB-C charging cable

Initial Setup

Power On

Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. The screen will light up with the HomeFlowHub logo.

Connect to Wi-Fi

On first boot, HomeFlowHub will create a Bluetooth pairing request. Use your phone to:

  1. 1. Enable Bluetooth on your phone
  2. 2. Look for "HomeFlowHub-XXXX" in available devices
  3. 3. Connect and enter your Wi-Fi credentials
  4. 4. Wait for confirmation on the device screen

Connect Philips Hue

HomeFlowHub will automatically discover your Hue bridge:

  1. 1. Tap "Connect Hue" on the setup screen
  2. 2. Press the button on your Hue bridge
  3. 3. Wait for pairing confirmation (usually 5-10 seconds)
  4. 4. Your lights and scenes will appear automatically

Configure IFTTT (Optional)

Add webhook actions for advanced automation:

  1. 1. Get your IFTTT webhook key from ifttt.com/maker_webhooks
  2. 2. Tap "Add Webhook" in HomeFlowHub settings
  3. 3. Enter event name and webhook key
  4. 4. Test the connection

Safety & Care

  • • Use only the provided USB-C cable or equivalent (5V, 1A minimum)
  • • Do not expose to water or excessive moisture
  • • Operating temperature: 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F)
  • • Do not attempt to open or modify the device
  • • Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight
  • • Clean with a soft, dry cloth only
  • • Dispose of battery according to local regulations

Quick Troubleshooting

Device won't power on

Charge for at least 30 minutes using the provided cable. Press and hold power button for 3 seconds.

Can't connect to Wi-Fi

Ensure you're using a 2.4GHz network (5GHz not supported). Check password is correct. Move closer to router during setup.

Hue bridge not found

Ensure bridge and HomeFlowHub are on the same network. Press the bridge button before attempting pairing. Wait 30 seconds and try again.

Screen is unresponsive

Perform a soft reset: hold power button for 10 seconds until screen goes black, then power on normally.
